Q: Where can I find the factory firmware for my receiver?
A: Please go to our download section for all factory firmware files and more. Select the IMG file that has the name of your receiver.
Q: How do I update the firmware on my receiver?
A: Download the newest factory firmware updates at our download
section. It will be an .IMG format file. Download the Loader, as well. Unzip both the firmware bin and loader using winzip or other utility. Hook up your VISIONSAT receiver to the computer using the supplied data cable. Make sure the receiver is off, but plugged into a power source. Run the loader and select the IMG bin you just downloaded. Turn on your receiver and press ok and the firmware upgrade process will begin. Once it is finished, turn off and unplug your receiver and then disconnect the data cable from the receiver. Hook your receiver back up to your television source and do a FACTORY RESET in the settings menu and your receiver is now updated to the latest firmware.
Q: My receiver is defective and needs warranty service. What should I do?
A: You MUST contact your authorized VISIONSAT dealer. We do not deal directly with end-customers. Our excellent 100% brand new replacement warranty means if you ever decide to pursue your warranty terms, all you need to do is contact your authorized VISIONSAT dealer and they will send you a brand new replacement product at no cost to you, provided that you send the defective unit back to them first. If your dealer happens to decline your warranty service request, please
contact us. We will make sure the dealer complies and cooperates with you, or we will send you the brand new replacement ourselves gratis.
Q: My receiver is acting strange. What should I do?
A: Make sure you have uploaded the newest firmware updates from this site. If your problem still persists, check your wiring, dish/lnb, and diseqc to see if they are working properly. Most often a bad/low signal or quality level is due to your lnb, diseqc or bad wiring and not the receiver itself. Our products are tested stringently for quality control and it is highly unlikely it is the receiver's fault when in a low signal/quality situation.
Q: My receiver won't turn on anymore. What should I do?
A: Make sure there is nothing shorting out the receiver (loose wires, bad connections, faulty power grid, etc.) Hook up your receiver to your pc with the supplied data cable and then plug the receiver into a power outlet. Run the VISIONSATLoader and load up the latest VISIONSAT firmware found at our download section. Press OK and then turn on your VISIONSAT power switch. The firmware should be uploading and the receiver power should be on now. If no power appears, contact your authorized VISIONSAT dealer for a brand new replacement, free of charge as per our warranty terms.
